13 Market Street is an ultra-stylish bar and kitchen located centrally within the historic town of Caerphilly.
Originally an old coaching inn and a traditional drinkers pub once named the Wheatsheaf, it has been transformed into a modern restaurant and cocktail bar with no expense being spared on the décor.
From its well-stocked bar to its open plan kitchen, every minor detail has been well-thought out, allowing the best possible experience for its customers since it opened its doors in November 2018.
Its menus are extensive and varied, offering something for all – from its wholesome and hearty breakfasts to its succulent steaks, homemade pizzas and burgers available in the evening.
Breakfast is served daily up until 11:30am, with lunch then offered immediately thereafter until 5pm. Options from the lunch menu include a selection of sandwiches and melts, jacket potatoes with a choice of fillings, plus an assortment of traditional pub grub classics priced from £6.99.
The main menu is served from 5pm onwards and consists of a selection of small bites, which are also offered as starters or sides, options from the grill with all steaks being 28 days matured, handmade pizzas and calzones made fresh to order and baked to perfection in a stone oven, hand crafted burger towers, plus a choice of salads and fish dishes too.
Every Sunday lunchtime, diners get to create their perfect roast with an extensive carvery with such delights as mustard crusted beef, honey glazed gammon and roosted Pembrokeshire turkey crown, not forgetting a portobello mushroom and nut wellington as an alternative.
The Sunday carvery is priced from £9.99 for adults and £4.50 for children, but why not go large and enjoy a little bit extra for £11.50? Served from noon until 5.30pm, there’s no booking needed.
