This fantastic gastropub, situated in the heart of the World Heritage Town of Blaenavon, celebrates its 13th anniversary this year.
Run and owned by Dayne Watkins, whose hard work and determination to make this dining destination a success has led him and his team to be voted as the number one restaurant in Blaenavon on Trip Advisor and a 4.8 rating on Facebook.
This welcoming venue offers a great dining experience for all ages in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Not only is the restaurant a great place to eat at any time of the year, its beer garden is a wonderful place to dine too, especially now summer is here – winning Best Commercial Garden nine years in a row.
Owner Dayne also holds monthly barbecues and special themed evenings in the beer garden and restaurant once a month. Simply like the Facebook page to see what’s on for July and August.
The Butterflies menu offers traditional homemade classics and à la carte dishes with a continental flavour and specialises in dry-aged Welsh black beef – a native breed of Wales.
Its specials board is also very popular and offers fresh dishes to suit all tastes, with all dietary requirements catered for – just let the friendly and attentive team know prior to booking.
Food is served from 5.30pm until late from Tuesday to Saturday, with lunch offered Friday and Saturday from noon until 2pm.
Sunday lunch is priced at £16.95 for three courses, including freshly-brewed tea/coffee and is available from 12.30pm until 3pm every week. There are always four different meats to choose from as well as a vegetarian option. Booking at least a week in advance is a must.
So, if you’re looking for a multi-award winning venue this summer, make your way to the incredibly popular Butterflies Bar and Kitchen this summer.
