With the recent pandemic hitting the headlines, owner Richard Soar of Rae Barton Fruit & Veg is assuring customers that a delivery service will still be offered.
Rich took over the business in February of 2016 and has continued the Barton’s family legacy of offering fantastic fruit and vegetables at an amazing price.
“I think are beginning to panic a little more than they should, fresh produce is still being delivered on a daily basis, so we hope people will continue to buy and that the food doesn’t go to waste,” Richard told Voice.
“Obviously, people have a right to be scared as the virus is life threatening to those who are most vulnerable.
“Which is why it is a good idea for people, especially for those who are most likely at risk, take advantage of our free delivery service within Newport with orders over £10 or more. This global emergency has yet to stop us delivering to your door – just give us a call. Commercial businesses can get free delivery too, so if you’re in the food industry and need a local supplier, why not give us a call?
“We have long-serving staff members and a very loyal customer base, of whom we are on a first name basis and we strive to give the best possible customer service by offering great choice and excellent product knowledge. Wherever possible we source our fresh produce from local farms and suppliers, as well as making our very own brand of chutneys, jams and other preserves.
“I’d personally like to thank all of our customers for their support due to recent events, and hopefully they will continue to use us in the months ahead. On behalf of everyone who works at Rae Barton Fruit & Veg, thank you.”
